Welcome to St. Charles Catholic School! I am blessed to be the principal of such a wonderful school where students learn the tradition and beliefs of the Catholic faith, participate in celebration of our faith and provide service to those less fortunate. I am proud of our strong academic program, excellent sports program and the wonderful musical talents discovered through our on-campus piano and band instrument lessons. Always thinking forward, we are now working toward becoming a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) School. Also emphasizing in Religion and Art. We are excited to be adding this model to our school and look forward to seeing our students enjoy their new hands-on projects.
I am enjoying a “homecoming” of sorts having been at St. Charles from 2003-2013. I am returning to St. Charles after a three year absence. During that time, I worked as an Education Consultant for textbook publishing company. Though I very much enjoyed that experience, the pull to return to St. Charles grew stronger each year.
I am truly blessed to be back in this loving, nurturing community filled with excellent teachers and staff, supportive parents and of course, amazing students! I invite you to come and meet all of us. I am sure you will share my opinion and those of generations of families who have attended this school.
I am truly grateful for this opportunity and so excited to start the new school year!
Yours in Christ,
Sylvia Durazo Benning
Principal

St. Charles Catholic School is an institution of higher learning with a tradition going back 65 years. Our faculty is dedicated to helping our students prepare for their futures.
Anchored by Catholic tradition, we excel at:
St. Charles students come from a rich variety of cultures providing each other with the opportunity for interacting and learning from many different traditions. The staff, parents and students are committed to living Catholic values in an atmosphere that promotes each child's spiritual, intellectual, social, psychological and physical growth.
The St. Charles Faculty works hard to evaluate and revise curricular areas on a regular basis. A variety of up-to-date instructional techniques are employed to keep students personally involved in daily learning. As a result, our graduates have no difficulty gaining acceptance at local Catholic high schools.
