A Word From Our Principal
Principal Steve StutzI have served as the principal at St. Charles Catholic School since July 1997. Students at St. Charles Catholic School learn the traditions and beliefs of the Catholic faith, participate in the celebration of our faith and provide service to those who are less fortunate than us. I feel blessed to minister in a community that includes two very distinct cultures (Hispanic and Filipino) that value their Catholic faith and traditions. These cultures bring their love of family to our community. As a parent of three children myself, I have learned very much from these cultures. The St. Charles Community is an extension of my home.
I have been blessed to see St. Charles Catholic School celebrate its 50th and 60th Anniversaries during my tenure. I have seen this school grow in many ways over this period. Our school differentiates for the needs of our students in all subject areas and grade levels. Additionally, we have two very special programs that allow our students to work at their own unique levels in the areas of reading and math. We have a unique program for our students that are beginning to learn the English language (k-8) and a program for students struggling in reading (5-8). Over and above an outstanding basic education our students are blessed with the ability to use and be exposed to a wealth of technology. All our classrooms have SMART Boards, we have two computers labs and our 8th Grade program includes the use of laptop computers and much more.
Graduates of St. Charles Catholic School are well prepared for high school, college and/or the real world. Our graduates go on to Mater Dei Catholic High School, Our Lady of Peace Academy, St. Augustine High School, Cathedral Catholic High School as well as many different public and private high schools. Most of our graduates go on to college. Some have attended prestigious colleges such as Notre Dame, Stanford, Boston College and Villanova, to name a few. As adults, many of our graduates serve God and others as leaders within their communities.
Again, I feel so blessed to have served the St. Charles Community over the past several years. I look forward to continuing my ministry in Catholic education here for many years to come.
God bless,
Steve Stutz
